AREAS OF RESEARCH
Select agent and emerging infectious disease pathogenesis, with emphasis on molecular characterization of disease (virulence factors and determinants). Antibacterial drug development and testing (in vitro and in vivo). Understanding intrinsic and acquired antibacterial drug resistance, with particular regard to overcoming such resistances.
