Statement to Media:

The most recent attacks by extreme animal activists against Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute are exaggerated, misleading accusations. This threatening campaign by extremists has been turned over to the local law enforcement and the FBI. Scientists at LRRI use laboratory animals in research that leads to lifesaving procedures and medicines for humans and companion animals. All animal activities are legal and heavily regulated by multiple national agencies. We remain committed to conducting research that saves lives and improves the health of people who are afflicted with diseases such as lung cancer, COPD, asthma, flu and many more diseases.
