The prevalence of international and national standards setting bodies and regulatory authorities has prompted
the need for a renewed commitment to define and use terminology in a consistent manner. We are working on an
international effort to develop a system of certification where glossaries of new publications are shown to
be consistent with accepted past practice or revisions are justified.
