Bioanalytical Chemistry Department

The Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute’s Bioanalytical Chemistry Department supports preclinical and clinical development.  The Bioanalytical Chemistry Department provides a state-of-the-art infrastructure with experience in chromatography, mass spectrometry, and immunoaffinity assays.  LRRI has the experience and tools required to develop or transfer methods on small molecules, proteins, or peptides, all of which can be conducted in strict compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).

LRRI’s Bioanalytical Chemistry Department has conducted a range of bioanalytical assays to support PK/TK and metabolism studies.  Analysis can be conducted to assay concentrations of parent molecules or compounds in a full range of matrixes including blood, plasma, serum, urine, and tissue.  As required, drug metabolism can also be characterized in a similar range of matrixes.

Key Capabilities
  • Validated suite of instruments
  • Parent molecule analysis
  • Metabolism characterization
  • Development/transfer of bioanalytical assays
  • Validation of methods
  • QA/QC interface to ensure compliance with GLPs
